
When creating a character in a series of movies or just a television series it is important to make your main characters right because the main characters will be very significant to your entire series or franchise.
You always want to make your character interesting, you want to make them good but not perfect. A character isn’t very interesting if they are just a perfect person there would be no room for relatability or development. A good example of a character done wrong is Randy Pearson in That ‘70s Show which was directed by David Trainer.
Too make a good character you need to give it relatability to the viewer and some sort of skill as well. Something you also want to do is leave a lot of room for development and satisfyingly develop the character as it goes on over time.
Too make a viewer feel invested in the character it is needed for the character to have some reason for the viewer to care about that character.
Some good examples of a character are characters like Bart Simpson from The Simpsons, or Jimmy from South Park, just to name a few.
What does it mean for a character to be relatable???
When it says for a character to be relatable it means like for the character to be easy to understand how they feel or feel a connection to that character. You can bond or empathize for that character. That is what it means
