Now it is time to make your sequel in the series but before there is a sequel the director should ask themself if they really want to make a sequel and if they have a stable enough story. To make a sequel to a story you need to make sure there is enough of a decent story to make it work, don’t do it just because people are gonna watch it. Here is some rules someone might wanna use during a big sequel…

1. Before even creating the sequel think about if you want to make one and if there are a good enough story to actually create another strong and creative film or new television show season.
2. In your new sequel or next television show season use your original characters as well as add new ones keep the series new and exciting.
3. In the sequel you need to make sure it isn’t just a cash grab make sure there is actually good components.
4. Examples of doing a sequel wrong ones like Men In Black 2 or Jaws the Revenge. There are even more good examples of a bad sequel but those are just some.
5. Don’t make it a bland repeat of the first one, build off of the original not copy.
6. Not really good first film needs a sequel.
7. Make sure the story makes sense and is a good follow up from the original.
8. Continuity matters in a follow up film or television season.
9. Not every movie needs another sequel, but it is up to the director.
